Suzan Dise

Working with varied mediums, such as oil, fiber, watercolor, and clay, Suzan favors contemporary impressionism, well-balanced composition and color relationships. She gathers her creative inspiration from the organic shapes found in nature and through discovering the extraordinary in the ordinary of everyday life. Suzan studied Graphic Design and Fine Art at Moore College of Art and Design. She creates original and commissioned fine art and pottery out of her home studio in Perkiomenville, showing and selling in local galleries and shops. Suzan also operates a freelance graphic design business, as well as teaching Design and Photography to secondary students at a local private school. Although Suzan has always been a perpetual creator and maker from early childhood, the practice of her fine art ceased as she jumped into a corporate art director career, during which time she also quietly navigated through a 20-year abusive relationship where self-expression and creative experimentation were oppressed. Suzan has since transitioned into a new chapter of her life where she is free to create, resulting in a new eruption of ideas, concepts, and visions that she is able to joyfully pour into her work and share with others.
