With an abundance of brightly-colored birds and butterflies, budding flowers, microscopic insects, waterfowl and wildlife, my own backyard is the source for many of my photographs. I invite you to take a closer look at the beauty that is right in front of your eyes. You may be surprised at what you see.

I am a homemaker with no formal training but have a good eye for making a picture. What started as a project of photographing the different species of birds that have visited my backyard (over 60 and counting) has become a near obsession to photograph almost anything that passes in front of my camera lens.

Each day brings the possibility of new discovery, sometimes when you least expect it. It’s what inspires me to have my camera handy at all times. I want to capture that magical moment, a perfect bloom or a special smile, and know that it will be forever preserved in a photograph. My dream is to take that one special picture, the one that literally takes your breath away. I am still searching, but am very much enjoying the ride. I hope you like looking at them as much as I do making them.
