Thanks to recent private donors, also Effenesse Foundation, and Tompkins VIST Bank

Studio B Fine Art Gallery, 39A East Philadelphia Avenue in Boyertown, PA, thanks donors Suzanne Biesecker for a recent donation from the Effenesse Foundation and the corporate support of Tompkins VIST Bank.

“Through the Effenesse Foundation, Suzanne has been one of Studio B’s most loyal donors. She has supported the efforts of the Arts and Activities Alliance, a committee of Building a Better Boyertown, from our very beginnings—even before Studio B opened its doors,” explained Jane Stahl, Studio B’s Director of Community Relations. The donation from the Effenesse Foundation supports the studio’s exhibit entitled ‘Flora and Fauna,’ scheduled to open January 28, 2022.

As supporters of the arts, Biesecker and her late husband Fred have sponsored 2 Bear Fever bears, Boyertown’s popular public art project, in recognition of the importance of the arts in enhancing the quality of life and economic vitality of the Boyertown area. “We are grateful for Suzanne’s generosity and loyalty to Boyertown through her on-going support of Studio B’s contributions to art and culture through our programs,” concluded Stahl.

Donations from Tompkins VIST Bank have funded gallery exhibits and virtual programming in recent years. The 2022 donation will support episodes of “Let’s Talk About Art and Artists”—recorded visits to artists’ studios that can be seen on YouTube or as events on Facebook. The episodes focus on the artists themselves—their background and artistic journeys—as well as the unique techniques or styles of their art.

“Tompkins VIST’s dedication to supporting the communities they serve inspires us in our work,” offered Stahl, “and makes such a positive difference to the communities’ quality of life. We value their commitment.”

Thanking donors

In addition to thanking Biesecker and Tompkins VIST, Studio B offers thanks to the members of the community who have recently responded to the studio’s annual appeal letter seeking donations. “As a community-run gallery, we rely on the funding support offered by the community—folks who realize that art matters. We wouldn’t be here without the community’s support,” Stahl concluded.
