The juror, Scott Krenitsky, has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Tyler School of Art at Temple University with a passion for working with what he calls “the magically fascinating material of hot glass” stemming from its unique properties and qualities such as transparency, light, optical effects, shape, form, color and texture.
Krenitsky is the Hot Glass Studio Manager at Goggleworks Center for the Arts, where he continues to pursue his love for making glass art as well as
teaching various processes and techniques to students of all ages and skill levels.
The “Reflection” theme allows explorations of the many definitions of “reflection” –some scientific involving light or sound waves or mirror images. “Reflection” includes an effect produced by an influence; it includes an often obscure or indirect criticism; a thought, idea, or opinion formed or a remark made as a result of meditation; a consideration of some subject matter, idea, or purpose; or a transformation of a figure.
“The exhibit will surely display the many definitions of ‘reflection,’ noted Jane Stahl, Director of Community Relations.
“Our artists take up Susan’s challenges and always surprise us with the breadth of their creativity.” Susan Biebuyck is Studio B’s gallery director.
